Olinjär /oʊ lɪn jɑr/Oh-lin-yar
Olinjär is the Swedish word for “non-linear.”
A reflection of how we view tattooing—not as a fixed progression of trends, styles, or eras, but as an evolving and interconnected practice shaped by culture, craft, history, symbolism, and lived experience. Founded by Jeff and Laura Jade Gogué, Olinjär is a private tattoo and art studio centered around long-form artistic practice, study, painting, writing, and continual exploration through the creative life.
Our approach is deeply influenced by the spirit of 彫物 — horimono — the understanding that tattooing can and should extend beyond decoration or trend and become something immersive, symbolic, and transformative over time.
With decades devoted to tattooing, we carry a deep respect for the traditions, histories, and communities that shaped this craft long before us. We believe the role of the tattooer is not only to make images, but to cultivate awareness, intention, atmosphere, and human connection through the process itself.
In an increasingly fast and disposable culture, Olinjär values depth over novelty, continuity over algorithms, and sincerity over performance.
Our studio is a working environment for people who believe tattoos should not only send a message to whoever sees them, but guide the person carrying them toward a deeper understanding of themselves.
